Car Insurance: Virgin offers 3 levels of cover:

* Comprehensive covers you and your car against all type of accidents, whether caused by you or not. You also get protection against your car being stolen, vandalized, catching fire or broken into. Virgin will even provide a courtesy car while yours is being repaired.

* Third Party, Fire and Theft covers pretty much the same as Comprehensive except that if the accident is caused by you, your car is not covered. But you also get cover if your car is stolen or catches fire.

* Third Party is the bare minimum car insurance which covers damage you cause to the other party’s car and property. It applies only if your car is appraised to having less than ?5000 worth and you can avail of it only over phone.

Virgin also offers the following options:

* No Claims Discount, if you have no claims against your insurance for a year, you get a claims discount that reduces your premium.

* Legal Protection, if you’re injured on the road with no fault from you, Virgin helps defray litigation costs against the party causing the accident for up to ?50,000.

* Breakdown cover, provide 24-hour rescue hotline from Green Flag Motoring Assistance for just an additional 69.40 annually.

Home Insurance: Virgin covers your home and building structure, fixtures and fittings as ell as the cost for getting architects, surveyors and contractors should you have to rebuild your home with a cash payout of up to ?2 Million. It also provides cover for the contents of your home such as valuables and cash, freezer contents, home office equipment like computers, damage to your appliances and home contents while moving. These are protected against, fire, lightning, explosion, earthquake, civil and political unrest, storm or flood, burglaries and landslides, among the major ones.

Pet Insurance: You cover your beloved pet against accidents and illness of up to ?1,000, accidental death of up to ?1,500 and up to 1 million if your pet injures a person or damages his/her property. You get a choice of three levels of cover affordability that starts at ?4 a month.

Travel Insurance: Virgin offers a range of single and multiple trip covers against travel delays, medical and hospitalization outside of the country, high jacking, missed departure, personal accident, pet care while you’re away and baggage loss, among the major ones. The cover can range from as low as ?3 million in medial expenses for its red package and as high as ?15 million for its black package.
